DIY Design
Not sure where to start? Follow these six simple steps to capture everything we need to design your perfect kitchen layout — then send it back to us and we'll take it from there.
Use the example below as a guide when filling out your draft sheet. The more detail you include, the more accurate your cabinet layout will be.
Begin measuring from the corner shown in the drawing. This gives you a consistent reference point for all other measurements.
Measure the total length of all walls corner to corner. Record each wall dimension clearly on your draft sheet.
Indicate the location and sizes of all doors and windows. Include the individual corner-to-sill dimensions for each opening.
Mark door swings, electrical plug locations, and the centre line of the sink. Include waterline and floor drain locations.
Record the room height and note the location of any drop ceilings or bulkheads — these affect upper cabinet placement.
Indicate the location and dimensions of all appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave) on the chart provided.
Sample Floor Plan
This is an example only. Your kitchen may have a different shape — that's fine. Just capture all walls, openings, and appliances as accurately as possible.
Record the make, model, and dimensions of each appliance. This ensures your cabinets fit perfectly around them.
| Appliance | Make / Model | Width | Depth | Height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator | — | — | — | — |

Include this information when you send us your draft sheet.
Print the grid sheet below, sketch your kitchen measurements directly on it, then email or text a photo back to us. We'll use it to design your layout.

You can also text a photo of your hand-drawn sketch — whatever is easiest for you.
A 5m or longer steel tape gives the most accurate results. Avoid fabric measuring tapes — they can stretch and give incorrect readings.
Always double-check your measurements before sending. A small error on paper can mean a cabinet that doesn't fit on site.
A rough sketch with accurate numbers is all we need. We'll clean it up and turn it into a proper layout design for you.
Once we have your draft sheet, we'll design your kitchen layout and get back to you with cabinet options and pricing — at no charge.
